LASALLE, Colo. – The driver of Dodge pickup, who was killed along with another adult and two children in a horrific crash on U.S. Highway 85 Sunday night, had seven prior DUI arrests in Colorado, court records show.

Alcohol is being investigated as contributing to the two-vehicle collision, which happened about 9:40 p.m. on Highway 85 at Weld County Road 48, said Trooper Nate Reid of the Colorado State Patrol.

Rigoberto Macias-Marquez, 44, of La Salle, was driving the 2011 Dodge Ram pickup northbound in the left lane of Highway 85 and the pickup was on the curb of the highway until the sidewall of a tire ruptured, causing the truck to cross the road into oncoming traffic, Reid said.
