Connecticut: Prosecutor killed self after DUI arrest

MIDDLETOWN – A city prosecutor was found dead just days after he was arrested for drunk driving in Glastonbury, officials say.
John Cashmon, 56, of Cromwell, served as a supervisory assistant state’s attorney in Middletown Superior Court. He handled the majority of the criminal cases on the first floor the the city courthouse.
Cashmon was charged with driving under the influence Saturday night after Glastonbury police pulled him over for driving erratticaly. Cashmon’s vehicle was towed and he was held at the police station for four hours before being released on a $2,500 non-surety bond, police said.
Cashmon’s death is believed to be a suicide, officials say. ….MORE
