01/12/2016 — According to the Connecticut State Police, on March 28, 2015, troopers from Troop A-Southbury and the New Fairfield Resident Trooper’s Office responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Rte. 37/Pine Hill Rd.

The operators of both vehicles were transported to the hospital with injuries. A short time later Jody A. Stracci, 55, of the Bronx, N.Y., died as a result of the injuries.

Through the course of the investigation, troopers determined that the vehicle driven by Robert Martini was traveling on Rte. 37 when it veered off the right shoulder struck a rock, moved back onto the travel portion of the roadway, then crossed the double yellow line colliding with the second vehicle.

As the investigation continued troopers applied for and were granted, an Arrest Warrant for Robert Martini, by the superior court.

On January 11, 2016, Robert Martini was taken into custody on the active warrant. Martini was processed and released on a $25,000.00 surety bond.
