Millsboro- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Georgetown man after he was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol for the 6th time.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:12 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, as a Trooper observed a traffic violation on a Nissan Altima that was traveling northbound on Oak Orchard Road. A traffic stop was conducted and the Trooper made contact with the operator, Lance Q. Perry, 41 of Georgetown. Upon contact with Perry, an odor of alcohol was detected and a DUI investigation ensued. Perry was taken into custody and transported back to Troop 7. A computer check revealed that Perry had five previous DUI convictions, making this his 6th arrest.
Lance Perry was charged with 6th Offense Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Suspended or Revoked, and Failure to Have Two Head Lamps. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $7,001.00 cash bond.
