A woman who was driving the wrong way on the Sawgrass Expressway and slammed into another car head-on, killing two women inside, pleaded guilty in court Wednesday morning.
Kayla Mendoza apologized to the families of Marisa Catronio and Kaitlyn Nicole Ferrante, who were killed in the November 2013 crash, saying she would “trade spaces with them” if she could.
“It was nice for them to hear that, that they are not the only ones living in pain and the hell that they’re living in, but it doesn’t make them feel better,” Jamie Finizio Bascombe, an attorney for the families, told Local 10 News. “It doesn’t bring their girls back.” ….MORE
