Pinellas Deputy fired after he killed motorcyclist while DUI – knocked her off bike and then ran her over
PALMETTO (FOX 13) – A 20-year-old woman died when an off-duty Pinellas County deputy hit the motorcycle on which she was a passenger, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the deputy, Timothy Vaughan, of Palmetto, was fired Saturday morning and now faces DUI manslaughter charges related to the crash.
The female passenger on board one of the bikes, 20-year-old Alexandria Marler, was thrown off the bike and into the street before troopers say Vaughan ran her over.  She died from her injuries.
