MILTON — A 40-year-old man was killed Sunday morning on U.S. Highway 90 east near Smith’s Fish Camp Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol press release, Jose Alfredo Montero-Jimenez was driving eastbound in a 2001 Ford F150 around 4:15 a.m. when he drove off the eastbound lane and onto the south grass shoulder.
Montero-Jimenez over corrected trying to get back on the roadway and began to rotate counter clockwise, crossing both eastbound lanes and entering the grassy median.
Montero-Jimenez was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle into the inside eastbound lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
