The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Kissimmee man on charges of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide in the Oct. 12 death of 52-year-old Steven Lazzell, who was riding his motorcycle on Johnson Avenue in Haines City.
Deputies said blood samples taken that day from Steven Maffia, 37, of 241 Bell Tower Xing W., returned a blood-alcohol level of 0.145, which is nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08. He was arrested Thursday without incident, according to the Sheriff’s Office. ….MORE
