NAMPA – A Nampa woman is in jail this morning, accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with two 3-year-olds as passengers.
Police say 19-year-old Shaylyn Chavez of Nampa was driving a Honda Civic in at Birch Lane and 11th Avenue North Extension in Nampa when she ran a stop sign. She reportedly struck a GMC Envoy that was turning left from westbound Birch.
Chavez and her two passengers, both 3-year-old girls, were transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The two children were later transferred to St. Lukes Regional Medical Center in Boise with severe head injuries. ….MORE
