Idaho: State Police charged Ryan Foulke with DUI manslaughter in death of Travis Kulhanek in Sidekick turnover

SHOSHONE, IDAHO – According to the Idaho State Police, on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 10:00 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle fatality crash on State Highway 75 at milepost 75, near Shoshone.

Ryan Foulke, age 38, of Gooding, ID, was driving southbound on State Highway 75 in a 1996 Suzuki Sidekick when the vehicle went off the right shoulder. Foulke overcorrected and the vehicle rolled and came to rest in the middle of the roadway, blocking both the northbound and southbound lanes of travel. Foulke had two passengers in his vehicle, Elizabeth Kulhanek, age 46, and Travis Kulhanek, age 44, both of Shoshone.

Elizabeth was transported by ground ambulance to North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding, Travis succumbed to his injuries on scene, and Foulke was taken into custody and is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and vehicular manslaughter. Travis Kulhanek was the only occupant not wearing a seatbelt. Notifications have been made.

Both lanes of State Highway 75 were blocked for approximately 3 hours. The Idaho Department of Transportation assisted with diverting traffic. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
