A 32-year-old Evanston woman was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk after allegedly striking and killing a pedestrian Wednesday afternoon at Main Street and Skokie Boulevard.
Alan Rubin, 57, of the 5000 block of Lee Street, was rushed St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. The Medical Examiner’s office told police he died due to injuries sustained in the traffic crash.
