Luis P. Pena charged with death of Reginald Destin

(Oct. 27, 2012) — A man has died a week after he was hit by a drunken driver while skateboarding in Bucktown, authorities said.
Reginald “Reggie” Destin, 42, has died, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, which would not immediately release further information. He had been hospitalized in critical condition at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital.
Luis P. Pena, 30, is being held without bail after being charged with aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury following the crash in the 1700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue about 2 a.m. Oct. 19. The victim had been riding a skateboard in a bike lane when he was struck, authorities said.
Pena, of the 2700 block of West 24th Place, fled the scene of the crash ….MORE
