Marlon Anthony Coleman, DUI fatal Peoria Police Ill. 3rd offense

PEORIA — A South Peoria man was ordered held on $150,000 bond Monday after allegedly colliding with a motorcycle this weekend, killing the driver and injuring its passenger.
Marlon A. Coleman, 39, of 132 N. Village Green Court appeared in Peoria County Circuit Court on two counts of aggravated driving under the influence. One of those counts alleged Coleman killed Daniel D. Cantrall, 57, of 6118 N. Northmoor Court and as such, carries a possible 14-year prison term.If convicted, he must serve at least 85 percent of any sentence imposed.
There is a chance he could get probation, but he must show “extraordinary circumstances” why a judge should not send him to prison. That’s different from most crimes, as the burden is on Coleman to show why he should get probation.The other aggravated DUI count alleges he has two prior DUI convictions. The family of US Navy veteran, and Patriot Guard member, Daniel Cantrall has requested that we help honor their loved one for his service to our Great Nation. Daniel was a well liked member of the PGR organization. He, and his long time girlfriend Jen, were returning from a charity ride to support the Honor Flights to Washington DC when an oncoming car crossed the center line. We will stand a flag line during the visitation and again prior to his funeral service, then escort Daniel’s family and friends to Chatham Cemetery for his interment.
