ILLINOIS: Ogle County Sheriff reports DWI arrest of Kyle Carhart after his last trail blazed into a ditch at 2:33 am

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

According to police, on Oct. 20, 2019, at 2:33 am, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 8000 block of N. IL Rt. 251 for a vehicle in the ditch. After an investigation, it was determined that Kyle Carhart, age 22, of Janesville, Wi had driven his Trailblazer into the east ditch, and crashed into a field entrance. Kyle was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Kyle was transported to the Ogle County jail and held in lieu of bond.

Aggravated Driving Under the Influence

On 10/07/19 at approximately 2:58 AM Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the report of an impaired driver in the rural Davis Junction area.  Sheriff’s Deputies located the vehicle in the 8000 Blk of N. Kilbuck Road and arrested the driver, Dennis S. Vineyard, 47, of Monroe Center.  Vineyard was charged with No Valid Driver’s License and Aggravated Driving Under the Influence.  Vineyard was confined at the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

Ogle County Sheriff reports that on Oct. 5, 2019, at approximately 6:48 a.m. Ogle County Deputies, along with Polo Fire Department, Polo EMS, and the Polo Police Department responded to a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Henry Rd. and Freeport Rd. After an investigation, it was learned that Shawn M. Jacobs, 27 of Mt. Carroll was westbound on Henry Rd. when he failed to stop at the stop intersection. Jacobs entered the ditch and struck an embankment. Jacobs was transported to CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Jacobs was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Jacobs was also given a citation for

  • Disregarding a Stop Sign,
  • Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident,
  • Expired Registration,
  • and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

Jacobs was released to CGH Medical Center for injuries sustained during the accident.
