Will County Sheriff’s Office reports the following DUI arrest bookings

3/25   Location:  Collins and Williamson

            Summary:  Jaime Mejia, age 31, of 815 Penfield Avenue in Joliet was cited for failure to signal, improper lane usage and DUI.

3/27     Location:  E. Cass and Hillcrest Rd.

            Summary:  Sarah Chodl, age 22, of 2872 Passage Lane in New Lenox was arrested for following too closely, improper lane usage, and DUI.

3/28   Location:  E. Cass and N. Briggs

            Summary:  Angela Holmes, age 38, of 1005 Rooney Drive in Joliet was arrested for DUI, speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting/one headlight.

3/29  Location:  I55 and Plainfield Rd.

            Summary:  Jose Nieto, age 41, of 160 Farm Gate Lane in Bolingbrook was arrested for improper lane usage, failure to signal, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and DUI.

3/29  Location:  26000 block of Canal Road

            Summary:  Daniel A. Holton, age 21, of 711 Westshore Drive in Shorewood was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol and DUI after he lost control of his vehicle, crashed onto private property, and then drove from the scene.  Joseph M. Babich, age 21, of 703 Timberline Drive in Joliet was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol. 

3/26     Location:  S. Broadway and W. Division

            Summary:  Donald F. Steinhaus, age 37, of 13 Fernwood Drive in Bolingbrook was arrested for speeding, failure to signal, improper lane usage, DUI, resisting a peace officer and criminal damage to government supported property.

 3/26           Location:  Bruce Road and S. State

            Summary:  Allyssa B. Nagra, age 22, of 416 Fairmont Avenue in Lockport was arrested for speeding, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and DUI.

3/27     Location:  Old Renwick Trail and W. Renwick Rd.

            Summary:  Gabriel Alejandro Garcia, age 18, of 561 Cumberland Lane in Bolingbrook was arrested for failure to yield at intersection, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving while license suspended, illegal consumption of alcohol, and DUI.  Andriana C. Garcia, age 28, of 408 N. 8th Street in Dekalb was cited for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Location:  S. Farrell Rd. and W. Oak Avenue

            Summary:  Orlando Hernandez, age 23, of 6046 Campbell in Chicago was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and no valid driver’s license.  Francisco Anzures, age 20, of 2520 W. 46th Street in Chicago was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and underage consumption/possession of alcohol.

3/30   Location:  S. Briggs and Bruce Rd.

            Summary:  Moises Jaime, age 41, of 13524 W. Oakwood Court in Homer Glen was arrested for DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, and no tail lights.

 3/31     Location:  Rt. 59 and Theodore          Plainfield     Summary:  Brittany Michor, age 25, of 1801 Pembrook Court in Plainfield was arrested for possession of drug equipment, DUI, speeding and failure to signal.

During the recent St. Patrick’s Day crackdown the Will County Sheriff’s Office made 1 DUI arrest, 31 speeding citations, 27 no insurance citations, 14 driving while license suspended/no valid drivers license, 22 no cell phone/hands-free citations, 9 lane usage/moving violation citations, 22 non-moving citations, along with 13 no seatbelt/child passenger citations.

The Will County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with other state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the Illinois St. Patrick’s Day campaign.  The campaign featured high visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities which included a strategic media campaign as well as additional enforcement activity.

The crackdown took place as data shows a recent increase in drunk driving fatalities in Illinois.

This law enforcement crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety grants through IDOT’s Division of Traffic Safety and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
