Kentucky State Police charged Brian Bennett with DUI with Child in Vehicle; Possession of Controlled Substance

Henderson, KY. (December 2nd, 2016) – Kentucky State Police Trooper Owens conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Spottsville area for a canceled registration plate and other traffic offenses. Upon contact with the operator, the Trooper discovered the driver to be Brian Bennett of Henderson and a Passenger Melissa Bennett also of Henderson, along with their 18-month-old child. Through further investigation, Mr. Bennett was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence and in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Substance 1st Degree / 1st Offense-Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Endangering the welfare of a Minor. Mrs. Bennett was arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of Marijuana, Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance, and Endangering the Welfare of a minor. Both parties were lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.
