Kentucky State Police charged Brian Bennett with DUI with Child in Vehicle; Possession of Controlled Substance


Henderson, KY. (December 2nd, 2016) – Kentucky State Police Trooper Owens conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Spottsville area for a canceled registration plate and other traffic offenses. Upon contact with the operator, the Trooper discovered the driver to be Brian Bennett of Henderson and a Passenger Melissa Bennett also of Henderson, along with their 18-month-old child. Through further investigation, Mr. Bennett was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence and in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Mr. Bennett was arrested and charged with Failure to Maintain Required Insurance, D.U.I. 1st Offense, Possession of a Controlled


Substance 1st Degree / 1st Offense-Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Endangering the welfare of a Minor. Mrs. Bennett was arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of Marijuana, Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance, and Endangering the Welfare of a minor. Both parties were lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.
