Louisiana State Police were called to the scene of a one-vehicle crash on Plank Rd. near Charlton Rd. in Baker around 9:00 Saturday night. Troopers say the driver of the vehicle, Jessie Chapman, 44, 4213 Heath Dr., Baker told them he had run off the road attempting to avoid another vehicle which was stopped in the roadway.
According to troopers Chapman appeared intoxicated and performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test. He was taken to the Zachary Police Department for a breathalyzer test, which was refused.  ….MORE
