Early this morning, Louisiana State Police Troop I investigated a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana 82 south of Abbeville that claimed the life of an Abbeville man, left a Lafayette woman in critical condition and resulted in the arrest of Gregory Menard, a 52-year-old Abbeville man.
According to investigating troopers, on June 4 at 1:03 a.m., Menard was driving his 1997 Buick passenger car south on Highway 82 when he attempted to pass several vehicles in a curve which, authorities say, was clearly marked as a no passing zone. ….MORE
