A West Baton Rouge man has been arrested for his 3rd offense DWI after his blood alcohol content revealed he was 3x the legal limit.

Police say that Randy Brown, 26, 1303 Ave C, Port Allen crashed into a mailbox early Monday morning.

After arriving on the scene officers conducted an interview with Brown and noticed that he smelled of alcohol.

Brown performed poorly on a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest. A breath test showed his blood alcohol level to be at .308 percent.

Brown has two prior DWI arrests from 2004 and 2012. He was booked into the EBR Parish Prison for 3rd offense DWI, driving under suspension, insurance required, and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
