A weekend of partying ended with a Carriere, Mississippi woman being arrested twice, in less than 24 hours, for Driving While Intoxicated.
The first arrest happened early Saturday morning around 2:30am. A Slidell Police officer noticed a red 2002 Saturn swerving on Front Street. When the officer stopped the vehicle, he came into contact with 26-year-old Marjorie Portier. Portier, who just left a party at a bar, exhibited signs of being intoxicated and was placed under arrest. Portier submitted to the breath alcohol test and had a blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit of .08. Portier was charged with First Offense Driving While Intoxicated and Improper Lane Usage.
Less than 24 hours later, a different Slidell Police officer, who was working a Louisiana Highway Safety Commission D.W.I. Grant,
