Maryland: St. Mary’s Sheriff makes one arrest on saturation patrol

Saturation Patrol Results

On February 6, 2010 the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office conducted a saturation patrol to detect and arrest impaired drivers. 
During the patrol 22 motorists were stopped for a variety of traffic violations resulting in the following arrests:
DFC Stone arrested William Lee Defoe 3rd, 46 of Charlotte Hall, Maryland  on an open violation of probation warrant from Carroll County, Maryland.
DFC Stone also arrested Nicholas Martin Smith, 19 of Lexington Park, Maryland  for driving while under the influence of alcohol.  A 19 year old passenger in the vehicle from Lexington Park, Maryland was in possession of an alcoholic beverage.  Both Smith and passenger were issued civil citation for possessing an alcoholic beverage while under the age of 21.
