Maryland: St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron’s DWI / DUI arrests for Feb. 12, 2013

Product Details

Edward Allen Slade, 24 of Valley Lee on 2/08/13 at 9:29 pm by Deputy Bankhead.

(The third DWI arrest for this nephew of District Court Judge John Slade. A DWI arrest in Charles County in 2008 resulted in the States Attorney dropping the charge even though Slade fled the scene of an accident, for which he got a 60 day suspended sentence; a 2010 DWI conviction netted Slade 65 days in jail with the balance of the one-year sentence suspended. A burglary charge when Slade broke into a home in Valley Lee, Md., and attempted to strangle the homeowner’s dog when he entered the home, was put on the stet docket by St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz. Slade has a drug and alcohol problem that has not yet been addressed, but his problem becomes everyone else’s problem as he has been caught committing burglaries in order to steal to support his quest for crack and booze. When caught, he identifies himself as the son of the Judge, but there is no evidence that Judge Slade has directly interfered in his criminal cases. In fact, dropping charges and placing cases on the Stet docket is the purview of the prosecutor. Prosecutors are known to seek favorable treatment from Judges. The  reader can make up their own minds about this matter.)
