Scott Daniel Carney

Scott Daniel Carney, 26, (DOB 08/31/1980) of 370 Longhorn Circle, Lusby, Md., by DFC G. Ward on 02/01/07 at 11:45 p.m.
UPDATE: Entered a guilty plea on May 5, 2007, in Calvert District Court. Sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $242.50 along with cited for violation of probation. Sentenced on Nov. 30, 2010, to 100 days in jail in St. Mary’s District Court for driving while suspended.

Christopher Lee Ward’s long journey through jail and court

Christopher Lee Ward, 30, (DOB 02/20/1976) of Prince Frederick, by DFC R. Wilson on 02/03/07 at 3:30 a.m. He entered a guilty plea on April 19, 2007, in Calvert County Md. District Court and was given a verdict of Probation Before Judgement with a 60 day suspended sentence in jail, and a fine of $242.50.

Calvert Sheriff Mike Evans reports that on June 8, 2014, at 2:53 a.m. Dep. W. Beisel was traveling northbound on Md. Rt. 4 in the area of White Sands Drive in Lusby when he was notified that a subject was seen walking in the travel portion of the roadway near Calvert Cliffs Parkway.  Beisel located the subject, a white male, wearing dark clothing who appeared to be intoxicated.  Beisel made contact with the subject, later identified as Christopher Lee Ward, 37 of Prince Frederick.  Ward was asked to stop walking but continued to do so and repeatedly pulled away.  He was subdued and searched.  A strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath.  He advised he was out with friends who left him so he was walking home.  He was charged with intoxication and endangerment.

On September 14, 2019, Deputy Sampson responded to the area of Route 4 and Sixes Road in Prince Frederick for the report of an intoxicated subject in the roadway. Deputy Sampson dealt with the subject, Christopher Lee Ward (43), on a previous call and advised him to stay out of the road or he would be arrested. Upon arrival Deputy Sampson found Ward laying on the shoulder of the road stating that he was walking to North Carolina. Ward was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Intoxicated Endangerment.

Richard Earl Marlowe

Marlowe, Richard E., 43, of (DOB 07/31/1963) 835 CARSON RD. Huntingtown, Md., by DFC R. Figueiras on 02/21/07 at 1:23 a.m. In a plea deal with the Calvert County States Attorney, Marlowe entered a guilty plea to DWI on May 16, 2007, and received 5 days in jail and was fined $207.50. Arrested for DWI by Baltimore County Police Officer Starling while operating a vehicle on the Baltimore Beltway on June 28, 2013, Marlowe was found guilty and sentenced to jail for one year on May 21, 2014.
