PASADENA, MD. — When that old Big Mac Attack strikes it’s a good idea to remove the keys from your ignition.

Anne Arundel County Police report that on October 22, 2015 at approximately 6:30 pm, an officer observed a white truck traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of Ft. Smallwood Road and Bar Harbor Road.

The officer made a traffic stop on the truck and contacted the driver, who police identified as Victor Clifford Stevens, 21, of 121 Edelton Ave., Severn, Md.

Police say that at the same time the traffic stop of Stevens was occurring, a victim contacted police stating that his truck was just stolen.

Police say that their investigation revealed that the victim parked his truck at the McDonalds on Ft. Smallwood Road leaving his keys inside the vehicle. When he returned his truck was missing.  Police say that Stevens had struck a mailbox and was extremely intoxicated.   Stevens was arrested Anne Arundel Police Officer Panowicz and charged with DWI, Auto Theft, and numerous other traffic charges.

Stevens faces trial on Dec. 21, 2015 in Annapolis Criminal Traffic Court.

A bond of $3,000 was posted for Stevens to bail him out of jail.
