FRANKLIN —A Franklin man who authorities say was convicted six different times in four different courts for drunken driving was arrested Wednesday on the same charge in a car whose backseat was packed with beer.
Allan Holbrook, 54, was first convicted of driving under the influence in 1977, then found guilty four more times between 1978 and 1990, according to police documents filed with court records. In 1995, in Norfolk Superior Court, Holbrook was sentenced to a year in jail following one of those convictions, the records say.
Holbrook’s most recent DUI charge came Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. when a Franklin police officer saw a white van speeding north on Oak Street and crossing the double yellow lines, according to officer Robert MacQuarrie’s report.
