MIDDLEBORO —Police believe alcohol and speed caused a Saturday morning crash that sent three young adults to the hospital after leaving a party in Bridgewater.
Officer Richard Harvey said 22-year-old Andrew Murphy, of 12 East Grove St., Middleboro, left 198-feet of skid marks on the wrong side of Summer Street before he crash into an Oak tree so hard the Infinity sedan he was driving bounced into the air.
Murphy and two passengers, both of Middleboro, were taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth by ambulance and a fourth passenger declined medical attention. One of the passengers, Jacqueline Laslie, 21, of 9 Colarusso Drive, was hospitalized with a broken pelvis and broken jaw, Harvey said. South Shore Hospital did not release Laslie’s condition on Sunday.
