Missouri: cop charged with DWI after family booze battle; he quit

Early Sunday, Ryan Schuler, an officer with the New Franklin Police Department, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and supplying alcohol to minors, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. New Franklin Police Chief Dave Wells said Schuler quit the force yesterday.
Highway patrol Cpl. Glen Ward said Schuler was drinking with minors, including his children. An altercation between Schuler and the children allegedly compelled him to drive off and leave the scene, and when he returned, a trooper was waiting for him.
