A former Columbia resident was sentenced to eight years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to his sixth driving while intoxicated infraction.
Boone County Circuit Judge Jodie Asel sentenced Jason M. Puckett, 37, of New Bloomfield to the prison term and a yearlong intensive substance abuse program. Puckett also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and his seventh driving while revoked conviction. He was issued a sentence of two years for each charge. All sentences are to run concurrently.  MORE
