NEBRASKA: State Patrol arrested Grand Island Police Officer Jordyn Lukasiewicz for DUI

Hall County Jail records indicate Jordyn Lukasiewicz was booked for DUI on December 15, 2024.

Grand Island Police Officer Jordyn Lukasiewicz DUI arrest by Nebraska State Patrol

From NTV – Nebraska TV reported: According to the Nebraska State Patrol, at approximately 12:55 a.m. Sunday, a Grand Island Police Officer made a traffic stop on a Toyota Camry for failure to signal a turn near Charles and Greenwich streets. The officer identified the driver as a fellow Grand Island Police Officer and requested a trooper to respond as well to prevent any conflict of interest.

NSP said the trooper then conducted an impaired driving investigation and arrested the driver, Jordyn Lukasiewicz, 29, for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was lodged in the Hall County Jail.  MORE

Grand Island Police Chief Kevin Denney issued a statement confirming an officer was arrested.

“The DUI investigation is being performed by the Nebraska State Patrol. The officer in question is currently on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. The police department takes these allegations seriously, and it is an unfortunate situation. I remind you the officer, like everyone else, is entitled to their rights under the law,” Denney wrote.
