LAS VEGAS — Metro Police released the name of the driver involved in a crash that killed two women at the intersection of Boulder Highway and Russell Road Thursday morning.
Seong Mo Lee, 22, of Henderson, was arrested for DUI.
Although the coroner has not released the identities of the two young women killed, friends tell 8 News NOW they are sisters named Mesha and Gabby who were 17 and 19 years old.
“It’s so crazy how they just left like that; they left together,” said Krystal Carrillo, friend of the victims.
According to Metro, the crash happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. Lee was speeding in his white 2014 Mercedes Benz southbound on Boulder Highway when he crashed into a silver 2014 Nissan Versa making a U-turn, police said.
Officers said the impact caused the Nissan to fly 475 feet before rolling over and landing on its roof.

Richard Strader, Metro Police. “The intrusion on that vehicle is almost from one side to the other; and that’s why the passengers were stuck in there because they were trapped in that vehicle…..MORE
