On July 15 from approximately 11:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., the Elmwood Park Police Department conducted a driving while intoxicated checkpoint on Route 46 West at the Boulevard. The next evening, another checkpoint was conducted from approximately 11:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. in the same location. A total of 18 people were arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI) during the two checkpoints.
Lukasz Krol, 19, of Garfield, was arrested by Elmwood Park Police Officer Michael Prelich on a charge of DWI.
Iris Malavet, 43, of Elmwood Park, was arrested by Elmwood Park Police Officer Nick Petronzi on a charge of DWI.
Rafael Pared, 26, of Paterson, was arrested by Elmwood Park Detective Alex Echevarria on a charge of DWI……MORE
