NEW JERSEY: Jacob Hoskin charged with DUI, meth and marijuana charges

Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams, Acting Chief of Detectives Frank R. Crisologo, and Clinton Township Police Department Officer in Charge Lieutenant Thomas A. DeRosa announce the arrest of one individual for driving while intoxicated and narcotics violations.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at approximately 3:19 am, Clinton Township Patrol Officer Shane Carle was on patrol when he was dispatched to an erratic driver complaint. Patrol Officer Carle observed the suspect vehicle traveling southbound on Route 31 near Echo Lane. Officer Carle observed multiple motor vehicle violations and stopped the vehicle.

Upon approaching the vehicle, Officer Carle observed that the driver, Jakob Hoskin, 21, of Bangor, PA, appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

Upon completion of a roadside investigation, Hoskin was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated, 3rd-degree Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Hoskins was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail and later released pending his first court appearance.
The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process.

The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.

Suspect(s): Jakob D. HOSKIN, 21/W/M, Bangor, PA 18013

Summary: On Thursday, April 30, 2020, at 0839 hrs, a Slate Belt Regional Police Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the operator fled in a Honda in the Borough of Pen Argyl.

Another officer was parked at the intersection of Broadway and Constitution Avenue in the Borough of Wind Gap and observed the driver as Jakob HOSKIN. Charges were filed on Monday, May 4, 2020, at Magistrate Zito’s Office.
