New Jersey: Kyle Fuss faces DWI charges after killing Thomas Hayes; police say Fuss drove his truck over center line and slammed head-on into Hayes

A 22-year-old Hamilton Township man has been charged with vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated following a fatal crash on Longport Boulevard last month.

Kyle Fuss was charged Friday in the death of Thomas Hayes, 70, of Brigantine.

On May 24, Fuss was driving his truck west on the Egg Harbor Township road when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with Hayes’ vehicle, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Hayes and his wife, Patricia, 69, had to be extricated from their sport utility vehicle. Both were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where Thomas Hayes died the following day. His wife’s injuries were not life-threatening. ….MORE
