Incident/Event: Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated

Involved: (A)- Tyler Nasce – West Orange NJ – 18-M

Police report that on March 9, 2013 at 7:35am Officer Guiles was dispatched to Mount Olive Road in regards to a single car motor vehicle accident where a car collided into a utility pole. Officer Guiles made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as  Tyler Nasce and he appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Mr. Nasce was not injured from the accident and signed a refusal of medical treatment form. Officer Guiles conducted field sobriety tests and Mr. Nasce was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Mr. Nasce submitted to chemical tests and was charged with underage D.W.I., Reckless Driving, Hazardous Tires, and Failure to Maintain a Lane. He was released to a sober driver and has a pending court appearance.

Involved: (A)- Quincy Penn – Maxton NJ – 22-M

(A)- David Aguinaga – Dover NJ – 18-M

On March 10, 2013 at 2:12am Officer Gardner was patrolling Route 46 in the area of the Village Green Mall. Officer Gardner observed a 2013 Hyundai fail to maintain a lane on multiple occasions. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle, identified as Quincy Penn appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Gardner conducted field sobriety test and Mr. Penn was subsequently placed under arrest. During the stop Officer Gardner learned that the passenger in the vehicle, identified as Mr. David Aguinaga had an active bench warrant out of Ridgefield Boro Municipal Court with bail set at $645.00. Both Mr. Penn and Mr. Aguinaga were arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Mr. Penn submitted to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain a Lane, and Failure to Exhibit Documents. Ridgefield Boro was contacted and they released Mr. Aguinaga on his own recognizance with a new court appearance. Mr. Penn was released to a sober driver and has a pending court appearance.

Involved: (A)- Grace Hoces – Hackettstown NJ – 19-F

On March 10, 2013 at 10:01pm Officer Cuff was patrolling Route 46 in the area of the Wild Geese Mall. Officer Cuff observed a 1999 Toyota traveling Route 46 west following a second vehicle too closely. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at which time the driver, identified as Grace Hoces appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Cuff conducted field sobriety tests and Ms. Hoces was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Ms. Hoces submitted to chemical tests and was charged with underage D.W.I., Reckless Driving, and Tailgating. She was released to a sober driver and has a pending court appearance.

Involved: (A)- Tara Vieira – Long Valley NJ – 35-F

On March 31, 2013 at 9:45pm the Mt. Olive Twp. Dispatch Center received a 911 call in regards to a suspected drunk driver. Officer Carlson observed the vehicle in question, a 2007 Cadillac stopped in the middle of the intersection of Route 46 and Naughright Road, delaying traffic. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Naughright Road and the driver,  Tara Vieira appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Carlson observed that there were five other occupants inside the vehicle including her husband and four children. Officer Carlson conducted field sobriety tests and Ms. Vieira was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Ms. Vieira refused to submit samples of her breath and was charged with D.W.I with a minor passenger, D.W.I., refusal to submit to breath test, reckless driving, and delaying traffic. Ms. Vieira was released to a sober driver and has a pending court appearance.

Involved: (A)- Michael King – Leola PA – 19-M

On April 19, 2013 at 2:38am Officer Gremmo was patrolling Route 46 in the area of the Super 8 Hotel. Officer Gremmo observed a male subject sitting in a parking space and entered the parking lot to investigate. While in the hotel parking lot, Officer Gremmo observed a 2008 GMC driving erratically in the lot and conducted a motor vehicle stop. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Michael King appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Gremmo conducted standardized tests and Mr. King was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Mr. King submitted to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I. and reckless driving. He was released to a sober driver and has a pending court appearance.

Involved: (A)- Michael Happe – Budd Lake NJ – 61-M

On April 12, 2013 at 4:40pm the Mt. Olive Twp. Police Communication Center received a 911 call regarding an erratic driver who was failing to maintain his lane on Route 46 and struck the curb multiple times. Officer Hering was patrolling Route 46 and observed the vehicle in question, a 2011 Cadillac traveling eastbound on Route 46. Officer Hering observed the vehicle fail to maintain its lane on multiple occasions. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at which time the driver, identified as Mr. Michael Happe appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Hering conducted field sobriety tests and Mr. Happe was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Mr. Happe submitted to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., reckless driving, and failure to maintain a lane. Mr. Happe was released to a sober driver and has a pending court appearance.

Officer Marianne Wurtemberg

(A)- Steven Thulin, Budd Lake NJ, Age: 47

On July 20, 2013 at 0256am Ofc Wurtemberg responded to Mt Olive Headquarters to assist with an individual who had responded to headquarters to post bail. During her conversation with the individual,  Steven Thulin, she detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his breath. It was determined that Mr. Thulin drove himself to headquarters to post the bail. Mr. Thulin was subsequently placed under arrest for DWI. He was processed at headquarters and charged with DWI and Reckless Driving. Mr. Thulin was released to a sober driver. All charges pending a court hearing.

On July 14, 2013 at 3:23am Officer Galop was patrolling International Drive South in the area of the ITC Mall Complex. Officer Galop observed a 2007 Honda traveling International Drive South at a high rate of speed. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at which time the driver, identified as Ms. Emily Stoev appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Galop conducted field sobriety tests and Ms. Stoev was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Ms. Stoev submitted to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., Reckless Driving, Speeding, and Failure to Exhibit Documents. Ms. Stoev was released to a sober driver and she has a pending court appearance.

Involved: (A)- Washington Chavezillescas -Dover NJ – 44-M

On July 6, 2013 at 7:19pm officers were dispatched to the intersection of Route 206 and Drakesdale Road for the report of a motor vehicle accident. Officer Wurtemberg arrived on scene and located both drivers involved. During the investigation one of the drivers, identified as Mr. Washington Chavezillescas appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Wurtemberg conducted field sobriety tests and Mr. Chavezillescas was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Mr. Chavezillescas submitted to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain a Lane. Mr. Chavezillescas was released to a sober driver and he has a pending court appearance.

Involved: (A)- Brandon Goldberg – Flanders NJ – 23-M

On July 5, 2013 at 1:39am Officer Elbaum was performing a business check of The Mall at 206, located in the Flanders section of town. During his business check he observed a 2000 Chevrolet parked improperly in the parking lot. Officer Elbaum exited his patrol vehicle to investigate. Officer Elbaum observed that the vehicle was occupied. He identified the driver as Mr. Brandon Goldberg. Mr. Goldberg appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Elbaum also observed an open alcoholic beverage container inside the vehicle. Following Officer Elbaum’s investigation, Mr. Goldberg was arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters, Mr. Goldberg submitted to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., Reckless Driving, and Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. Mr. Goldberg was released to a sober driver. He has a pending court appearance.

On June 30, 2013 at 1:32am Officer Elbaum was patrolling Route 46 in the area of Old Budd Lake Road. Officer Elbaum observed a 2012 KIA traveling on Route 46 fail to maintain its lane on multiple occasions. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at which time the driver, identified as Ms. Marilynn Secula appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Elbaum conducted field sobriety tests and Ms. Secula was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Ms. Secula refused to submit to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., Refusal to Submit to Breath Test, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain a Lane. Ms. Secula was released to a sober driver and she has a pending court appearance.

Involved: (A)- Edward Rapp – West Chester PA – 40-M

On June 23, 2013 at 7:39pm officers were dispatched to the area of International Drive South in regards to a report of an erratic driver. Officer Ryan arrived on scene and located the vehicle in question, a 2011 Mercedes-Benz parked in a handicap parking space at the Marriott Residence Inn with multiple flat tires. Officer Ryan approached the vehicle and identified the driver as Mr. Edward Rapp who appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Ryan conducted field sobriety tests and Mr. Rapp was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Mr. Rapp refused to submit to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., Failure to Maintain a Lane, Reckless Driving, Refusal to Submit to Breath Tests, Careless Driving, and Improper Parking in a Handicap Spot. Mr. Rapp was released to a sober driver and he has a pending court appearance.

Involved: (A)- Kathleen Hlavac – Budd Lake NJ – 60-F

On June 12, 2013 at 9:01pm Officer Rossy was dispatched to Route 46 in the area of Old Wolfe Road in regards to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Officer Rossy investigated the crash and during his investigation learned that one of the drivers involved, identified as Ms. Kathleen Hlavac appeared to be impaired due to an intoxicating liquor or drug. Officer Rossy conducted field sobriety tests and Ms. Hlavac was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Ms. Hlavac submitted to chemical tests and was charged with Driving While Under the Influence, Assault by Auto, Reckless Driving, and Improper Lane Change. Ms. Hlavac was released to a sober driver and has a pending court appearance. The second driver involved was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

On May 31, 2013 at 1:14am Officer Hering was patrolling Route 46 in the Budd Lake section of town. Officer Hering observed a 2011 Ford traveling Route 46 East fail to maintain its lane on multiple occasions. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at which time the driver, identified as Mr. Kenneth Williams appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption. Officer Hering conducted standardized field tests and Mr. Williams was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Mr. Williams submitted to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, unlicensed driver, unregistered vehicle, and open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. Mr. Williams was released to a sober driver and he has a pending court appearance.
