New Jersey: Mount Olive Township Police report DWI arrest of Marcia Lewand

05/27/2014 — According to Mount Olive Township Police, on May 26, 2014 at 8:42pm Officer Carletta was dispatched to the Kings Village Apartment Complex in regards to an erratic driver operating a 2012 Volkswagen. Officer Carletta arrived on scene and located the vehicle in question traveling inside the apartment complex.

Officer Carletta observed the vehicle make multiple turns without signaling and conducted a motor vehicle stop. During the stop Officer Carletta identified the driver, identified as Marcia Lewand who appeared to be impaired due to alcohol consumption.

Officer Carletta conducted field sobriety tests and Ms. Lewand was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters Lewand submitted to chemical tests and was charged with D.W.I., Reckless Driving, and Failure to Signal Turn. Ms. Lewand was released to a sober driver and she has a pending court appearance.
