New Mexico: Manuel Vigil is dead, booze was at play, but cops don’t know if Vigil was driving if Henry Baca was behind the wheel

From Santa Fe New Mexican
Santa Fe police have confirmed that alcohol was a factor in a one-vehicle fatal crash Thursday evening that killed Manuel Vigil, 66.
According to Capt. Aric Wheeler, Vigil and another man were driving south on U.S. 84/285 and got off at the N.M. 599 exit at about 7 p.m. The driver lost control of the 2004 white Chevy Tahoe on the exit ramp, and the SUV rolled once.
Vigil was not ejected from the vehicle but died at the scene. The other man, according to Wheeler, was transported to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries.
Police are trying to confirm if the survivor, identified in the police report as Henry Baca of Rio Rancho, was the driver of the vehicle or the passenger. …MORE
