All three crashes occurred in the wee hours of the morning, on Buffalo streets or highways, within the past five weeks.  The toll has been horrific: Three people dead, all in the prime of their lives. And three people, including an off-duty Buffalo police officer, critically injured; two of the three apparently still are fighting for their lives.
