New York: cop says it was all him; Sgt. Paul Monachino charged with DWI

Court papers reveal new details about the DWI crash involving East Rochester Police Sergeant Paul Monachino. That includes Monachino telling sheriff’s deputies “guys don’t listen to her. It was just me in the truck.”
Sgt. Monachino was arraigned in Perinton Town Court last night and pled not guilty. He’s charged with vehicular assault (felony), DWI (misdemeanor), refusal to take breath test (traffic infraction) and driving to the left of a pavement marking (traffic infraction).
The case is now in the hands of the county court system.
Included in the court papers was a preliminary report on Sgt. Monachino’s blood alcohol content. The report shows it was .10%.

Eyes: glassy
Complexion: flushed
Speech: slurred
Breath (odor of alcohol): strong
Attitude/behavior: cooperative
