A Hampton Bays man was arrested early Thursday morning after he attempted to flee a DWI checkpoint and intentionally struck a police car in Holbrook, according to Suffolk County Police.
Authorities said Derek Wagner, 35, was driving a 1999 Ford minivan when he attempted to avoid the checkpoint on North Ocean Avenue, just south of the Long Island Expressway, at about 12:40 p.m., leading officers on a short pursuit.   ….MORE
