New York, N. Y. — 05/25/2015 — One woman was killed and another person was injured after the drunken driver of the car they were traveling in slammed into a tree in Harlem early Sunday, police said.
Shanelle Emanuel, 24, was driving north on the Harlem River Drive when she struck the tree near the Willis Ave. Bridge exit, police sources said.
Passenger Kiara Jenkins, 24, was rushed to Harlem Hospital in cardiac arrest but she could not be saved, the sources said.

Car burst into flames after hitting tree
NEW YORK (CBS New York) — A fiery single-car crash Sunday morning on the northbound Harlem River Drive left one woman dead and another woman charged with DWI.
