New York: Erie County Deputies round up eight DWI drivers; Mark Jones leads list for July 13, 2013

Erie County, NY  – The Erie County Sheriff’s office reports that eight alcohol related arrests were made by Sheriff’s Road Patrols Friday night.

Mark Jones, 29, of Buffalo was charged with Felony DWI –  drugs, heroin possession, marihuana possession and multiple traffic infractions after investigating a citizen complaint of reckless operation on Main Road.  The felony charge was filed due to a prior conviction for DWI within ten years. Jones refused to submit to a blood test to determine his level of intoxication. A passenger in his vehicle: Nicholas Church, 27, of Rocky Point was also charged with Heroin and Marihuana possession.  Both offenders were processed and released on appearance tickets for Newstead Court.

Christopher Jones, 46, of Tonawanda was charged with DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for erratic operation on Crittenden Road.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .15%.  He was released on appearance tickets for Alden Court.

Carla  Infantino, 30, of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with DWI and failure to yield at a stop sign after the Deputies investigated a two car personal injury motor vehicle crash at Rt. 219 and Rt. 39.  An occupant of the other vehicle involved was transported by ambulance to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital with apparently non–life threatening injuries.  A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .12%.  She was processed and released on appearance tickets for Concord Court.
