New York: Judge who lost election must have been crying in his beer…pleaded guilty to DWI, awarded ignition interlock and fine

A former Essex County state Supreme Court judge was sentenced for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated in Saratoga County earlier this week.   Judge James P. Dawson, 65, of Elizabethtown, pleaded guilty in Wilton town court, according to reports. He was fined $500, had his drivers’ license suspended and must attend a victims’ impact panel and install an alcohol-sensing interlock on his car. He received a conditional discharge, meaning the sentence can be modified if he gets in trouble over the next year….MORE
