Trooper Beardsley turned himself into police Tuesday afternoon, according to Fulton County Sheriff Thomas Lorey. Police say he and his attorney are now cooperating. The 32 year-old state trooper pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Broadalbin Town Court. He was released on bail. BROADALBIN — An off-duty state trooper allegedly hit and killed a Northville man who himself had a previous DWI conviction for striking a teenage girl, authorities said.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office says the trooper, Brian Beardsley, 32, was driving with his girlfriend on County Highway 110 around 2:41 a.m. Sunday when Chad E. Finch, 29, of South Shore Road, was killed. ….MORE
