New York: Police say driver had blood alcohol of .23…no need for anti-freeze!

The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:
 Maura A. Jensen, 49, of 224 Paddock St., was arrested by Watertown police at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of North Massey Street on charges of aggravated DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and running a red light and a red flashing light. Police said she tested at 0.23 percent blood alcohol content. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more. 

 Christopher J. Caufield, 30, Mattydale, was charged Tuesday with aggravated DWI after he was stopped on Route 37 in the town of Oswegatchie, state police said.  His BAC was 0.18 percent, police said.

James W. Zender, 50, Canton, also was charged Tuesday with speeding when he was stopped on Route 11 in Canton, state police said. His BAC was 0.10 percent, police said.  MORE
