New York: special crackdown on drunk drivers on Super Bowl Sunday ought to have special details to watch for boozing judges

WAMPSVILLE — With Super Bowl weekend coming up, police want to remind everyone that there is such a thing as too much fun, and to be mindful of safety.
Madison County Sheriff Allen Riley said Madison County and local police departments will participate in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired driving.
“This is one of the busiest times of the year aside from New Year’s Eve,” Riley said. “There are always a lot of parties.”
Law enforcement officials say Super Bowl Weekend is historically a deadly period for impaired driving. New York State Police, county sheriffs and municipal law enforcement agencies across the state will be out in force to reduce the number of alcohol-related injuries and deaths. ….MORE
