New York: State Police charge Marian Hubbard with DWI; she killed her passenger, Alicia Hubbard in a party night that ended in terror

State Police in Schodack Investigate Fatal Accident
The New York State Police in Schodack, NY report that they are investigating a 1 vehicle fatal car crash that occurred February 16, 2013 at approximately 2:20 AM. A 2001 Isuzu, driven by Marian L. Hubbard, DOB 08/12/92, of West Sand Lake, NY, was eastbound on ST 20 in the T/Nassau when the vehicle crossed into the westbound lane, struck a guide rail on the north shoulder of the roadway, and overturned.
The rear seat passenger, Alicia A. Hubbard, DOB 09/22/94, of Nassau, NY, was ejected from the vehicle.
Police report that the Isuzu continued down an earth embankment and overturned several more times ejecting the driver and the front seat passenger, Nicole M. Hubbard, DOB 04/12/93, of West Sand Lake, NY. Alicia Hubbard was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Marian Hubbard, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to Albany Medical Center where she is listed in serious condition.
Police report that the driver and the rear seat passenger were not wearing seatbelts.

Troopers charge Germantown Woman with DWI in T/Red Hook
Michelle Walker age 39 of Germantown charged with DWI after accident on ST9G in The town of Red Hook.
Friday Evening 2/15/13 at about 11:05pm – troopers from SP Rhinebeck responded to an accident on ST-9G in the Town of Red Hook. Michelle Walker age 39 of Germantown operating a 2002 Dodge Neon struck a utility Pole on ST-9G in The Town of Red Hook. Walker was found to be intoxicated and she was arrested at the scene. Walker was not injured in the accident. She was processed at SP Rhinebeck, and was charged with Misdemeanor Aggravated Driving While intoxicated BAC over .18%, issued traffic tickets returnable in the Town of Red Hook on 3/14/13 at 6pm.
Two Car Crash in Rhinebeck nets DWI arrest
On 2/14/13 at about 7:15pm Troopers and the Rhinebeck Fire Department were assigned to a 2 car PIAA at the intersection of Rt 9g & 199 the Kingston Rhinecliff Bridge approachin the Town of Rhinebeck. 4 patients including 2 children were treated for of which were transported to Northern Dutchess Hospital where they were treated and later released, with minor injuries.
A PT Cruiser traveling Northbound on Rt 9G making a left onto Rt 199, failed to yield the right of way to a Subaru Legacy traveling Southbound on ST9G, a nearly head on accident occurred and airbags deployed in both vehicles. The operator of the PT Cruiser was found to be at fault and was driven by Benjamin Lichtenberger, a 29 year old resident of Somers Drive in Rhinebeck. The operator of the other vehicle and his family were transported to the hospital .
Lichtenberger refused medical treatment and was evaluated at the scene by emergency personnel with Northern Dutchess paramedics and rhinebeck Fire Department.
Lichtenberger was found to be intoxicated, and was arrested by troopers investigating the accident. Lichtenberger was transported to SP Rhinebeck where he submitted to a breath test and was charged with V&T violations including Misdemeanor Driving While intoxicated. He is to appear in the T/Rhinebeck Court on February 28, 2013 at 7:00pm.
A high time on heroin: Donald J. Pfaffenbach led cops on high speed chase
On Saturday 02/16/13 at approximately 8:15 PM Trooper Keith Mulawka, NYSP Jamestown, observed a green Chevrolet Trail Blazer parked in the Chautauqua County DOT salt barn parking lot on County Route 68 in the Town of Cherry Creek. As Trooper Mulawka approached the parking lot the operator made an unsafe start traveling East on CR-68 and Trooper Mulawka activated his emergency red lights in an attempt to initiate a traffic stop. The operator failed to comply and Trooper Mulawka initiates a pursuit by activating his siren. Trooper Mulawka pursued the vehicle at various speeds between 15 and 90 MPH over a distance of 9.0 miles for 12 minutes. The operator stopped the vehicle on Center Road, Town of Cherry Creek and fled on foot into brush area. After a brief foot pursuit, Trooper Mulawka placed the operator in custody. The operator, identified as Donald J Pfaffenbach, age 31, 13900 Quaker Street Collins, NY advised Trooper Mulawka he was in need of medical attention due his injection of heroin at the salt barn. Trooper Mulawka requested Cherry Creek Volunteer Fire Ambulance which transported Pfaffenbach to Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, NY where he was treated and released to the State Police. Pfaffenbach was arrested for Felony Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st, Reckless Driving, Speeding and other miscellaneous Vehicle and Traffic violations. He was additionally charged with New York State Penal Law charges of Fleeing of a Police Officer in the 3rd degree and Resisting Arrest. Pfaffenbach was arraigned in the Town of Cherry Creek Town Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 property bond.
New York State Police in Boston Make DWI Arrest
tOn 2/16/13 at approx. 10:45 P.M. SP Boston Trooper Matthew Michaelski received a report of an intoxicated motorist leaving the 7-11 convenience store on Boston State Rd., Town of Boston. The subject in question, Jonathan A. Morrill, age 22, of Hamburg, N.Y. was located a short time later after he drove over an embankment on Zimmer Rd., Town of Boston. After complaining of neck pain, Morrill was transported by Boston EMS to the Erie County Medical Center where a blood sample was obtained. Morrill was charged with DWI, Inadequate Tires and Failure to Maintain Lane. He is to appear in the Town of Boston court 3/04/13, 6:00 P.M. 
Troopers Arrest Drunk Driver Following Collision
Following an investigation into a two car property damage collision at the intersection of Constitution Ave and State Route 417 in the Town of Allegany. Troopers arrested Lawrence Commons III age 31 of Allegany for DWI. Commons was released on traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Allegany Court on 02-25-13. No injuries were reported. 
Clerks of stores charged for selling booze to minors
 (North Syracuse, NY – February 17, 2013) – On February 15, 2013, the New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in the Onondaga County Towns of Cicero, Clay, and Salina including the Villages of Liverpool and North Syracuse.
As a result of the initiative the following three subjects were charged with Unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree (PL 160.20) and Prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under twenty-one years old (ABC 65-1):
Jesse J. Boland, age 20, from 7568 Totman Street, North Syracuse NY 13212. Mr. Boland is employed as a cashier at the Sunshine Mini Mart,500 7th North Street, Liverpool NY 13088. He was issued Appearance Tickets returnable to the Town of Salina Court on February 28, 2013.
 Elizabeth A. Green, age 27, from 105 Crandon Terrace, Baldwinsville NY 13027. Ms. Green is employed as a bartender at the Cobblestone Ale House, 400 First Street, Liverpool NY 13088. She was issued Appearance Tickets returnable to the Village of Liverpool Court on March 5, 2013.
Jonathan M. Vanderberg, age 22, from 1150 Vine Street A2, Liverpool NY 13088. Mr. Vanderberg is employed as a cashier at the Hess Express, 711 South Main Street, North Syracuse NY 13212. He was issued Appearance Tickets returnable to the Village of North Syracuse Court on February 25, 2013.

(Alexandria Bay, NY – February 7, 2013) – State Police in Alexandria Bay arrested 55 year-old, Jeffrey D. Durand, from 50073 Smith Lane Redwood, NY for aggravated DWI.Durand was charged after a vehicle stop on State Route 12 in the Town of Alexandria. Mr. Durand was found to have a BAC of .23%. He was arraigned in the Town of Alexandria Court.

 Arkport Man Arrested for Aggravated DWI
On February 6th, Wayland State Police arrested Ralph R. Brown, 50, of Arkport for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% following a traffic stop on State Route 36. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of North Dansville Court on February 13, 2013.

Auburn Man Arrested for DWI and Leaving the Scene of an Accident
On February 7th, Horseheads State Police received a 911 report of a hit and run vehicle collision at the intersection of State Route 34 and 224. While on route to the scene, the suspect vehicle was stopped for speeding (54/40). Following an investigation, Byron M. Burkett, 37, of Auburn was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .17%, Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. He was arraigned in the Town of Cayuta Court and remanded to the Schuyler County Jail in lieu of $2000 cash bail or $5000 property bond.
New York State Police charge Thomas M. Shanahan with DWI
On February 2, 2013 Troopers in Mayfield arrested Thomas M. Shanahan 26, of Mayfield, NY for Driving While Intoxicated. At approximatley 3am the State Police conducted a vehicle and traffic stop of Shanahan’s vehicle on West Fulton Street Extension in the Town of Johnstown. Subsequent to the stop Shanahan was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He was transported to SP Mayfield where he provided a breath sample which determined that he had been operating the vehicle with a .08% BAC. He was released on tickets that are returnable to the Town of Johnstown Court on February 20th, 2013 at 6pm.
