11/28/2014 – On November 27, 2014, Bath State Police arrested Nicholas J. Crouch, 24, of Campbell, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .20%.  Crouch is scheduled to appear in the Town of Campbell Court on December 8, 2014.

Adam Hosmer’s DWI joyride ended in middle of Cohocton River

On November 23, 2014, Bath State Police arrested Adam Hosmer, 26, of Avoca, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .14% and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd.  Hughes was traveling on State Route 415 in the Town of Avoca when he drifted off the shoulder striking a support pole and guide wire. His vehicle continued north through a field and into the Cohocton River and came to rest in the middle of the River. The NYSDEC was notified for a possible haz-mat spill in the river. Hosmer is scheduled to appear in the Town of Avoca Court on December 3, 2014.

On November 22, 2014 New York State Police arrested Zachary J. Walters, age 23 of Randolph, NY after being dispatched to a report of a vehicle off the road on I-86 in the Town of Randolph.  Troopers located the vehicle and determined that it had been involved in a property damage accident.  Troopers were advised that the driver had walked to his residence in Randolph after the accident.  The driver Walters was located and placed under arrest for DWI. He was  taken to SP Jamestown for processing where a BAC of .14 was obtained.  Walters was issued tickets for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Speeding, Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  He is to appear in the Town of Randolph Court at a later date and was released to a third party.

State Police Amity – Traffic Stop Leads to DWI Arrest

On November 21, 2014, New York State Police Amity arrested Christie A. Fries, 35, of Cuba, NY for DWI. The arrest came subsequent to a stop for a vehicle and traffic violation on County Route 20 in the Town of Cuba. Fries was processed and issued tickets returnable to the Town of Cuba on 11/25/14 at 7pm.

On November 25, 2014, at approximately 3:30 a.m., State Police responded to a one-car crash on State Route 11, just north of the village of Gouverneur.
A 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt, operated by 23-year-old Dillon P. Vallance of Lisbon, had been traveling south on State Route 11 when his vehicle exited the roadway and struck a guide rail.
Vallance and his passenger, 20-year-old Levi G. Love of Gouverneur, were not injured. Vallance was subsequently arrested for DWI. His blood alcohol was determined to be .12%.
Vallance was charged with DWI. He was also ticketed for failure to maintain lane. He was released with tickets to appear in the Gouverneur Town Court on December 10, 2014, at 9 a.m.

On November 24, 2014, at approximately 8:30 p.m., State Police responded to an area of State Route 22B in the town of Schuyler Falls for a report of an erratic vehicle.
Troopers soon located a 2011 Subaru Outback in the ditch near the intersection of State Route 22B and Julia Lane.  The operator, 62-year-old Barbara L. Davis of Plattsburgh, New York, was subsequently arrested for DWI.  Her blood alcohol content was determined to be .18%.
Davis was charged with Felony DWI, for having a previous conviction within the preceding 10 years. She was additionally ticketed for improper right turn. Davis was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court where she was released on her own recognizance. She is to reappear in the Town of Schuyler Falls Court on December 12, 2014, at 5 p.m.

On November 20, 2014, State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in St. Lawrence County.  During this initiative, of the 25 establishments and retail stores that were visited, three businesses sold alcoholic beverages to an underage operative. This resulted in the arrest of three individuals for prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage to a person under the age of 21.  Those arrests are as follows:Patricia D. Henry, 46-year-old of Massena; Open Net Lounge, Romeo Avenue, Massena
Heidi A. Widmer, 38-years-old of Massena; Softails, East Orvis Street, Massena
Shelly M. Lyons, 48-years-old of Massena; The Rusty Wheel, Willow Street, Massena

All three women were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Massena Village Court on November 25, 2014.

On October 31, 2014, at approximately 1:10 a.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on State Route 56 in the town of Norfolk on a 2003 Ford Winstar, for speeding (57 mph in a 35 mph speed zone).
The operator, 34-year-old Shawn D. Paige of Norfolk, New York, was subsequently arrested for DWI.  Paige’s blood alcohol content was determined to be .17%.
Paige was charged with DWI. He was further ticketed for failure to comply, speed in zone, inadequate license plate lamps, and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree. Paige was released with tickets to appear at the Town of Norfolk Court on November 5, 2014, at 7 p.m.

2nd time at bat for DWI for Leon E. Hendrie Sr

On October 30, 2014, at approximately 8:56 p.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix on Pear Street in the town of Plattsburgh for speeding.
The operator, 51-year-old Leon E. Hendrie Sr., of Peru New York, was subsequently arrested for DWI. Hendrie refused to take the roadside preliminary breath test. However, later his blood alcohol content was determined to be .13%.
Troopers discovered that Hendrie had a previous conviction for DWI in April 2005, therefore Hendrie was charged with Felony DWI. He was further ticketed for speed in zone (52 mph in a 35 mph zone), and failure to take a preliminary breath screening test. Hendrie was released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Plattsburgh Court on November 6, 2014, at 4 p.m.

(Andres, NY – November 25, 2014) On November 24, 2014, Troopers from SP Margaretville arrested Timothy W. Collins, 39, Andes NY for felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a child passenger 15 years old or younger.

This arrest occurred after a vehicle and traffic law stop for failing to keep right while driving on State Route 28 in Andes, NY.
An investigation determined that Collins was driving while intoxicated.
Also, this DWI arrest became a felony because he had 6 year old and 9 year old passengers in the vehicle while he was driving intoxicated.
Collins was issued tickets returnable on December 11, 2014 to the Town of Andes Court.

(Plainfield, NY – November 24, 2014) On November 22, 2014, Troopers arrested Joseph A. Wormuth, 33, of Richfield Springs, NY, for felony Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable BAC result of .10% and Driving Without an Interlock Device.  This arrest occurred after Troopers responded to a report of an automobile accident on State Route 51 in Plainfield, NY.  An investigation determined that Wormuth was driving while intoxicated when he crashed a pick up truck into a ditch off the roadway.  This DWI arrest was a felony because he had a prior conviction for DWI within the last ten years. Wormuth was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Plainfield Court on December 10, 2014.  Prior to being released, a check of his criminal history also showed that he was wanted by the Herkimer Police Department on a bench warrant.  Wormuth was then turned over to the Herkimer Police Department for his outstanding warrant.

(Union, NY – November 24, 2014) On November 22, 2014, Troopers from SP Endwell arrested James R. Brown, 34, of Endicott, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated and the felony of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 1st.  This arrest occurred after Troopers made a vehicle and traffic law stop for moving from the lane unsafely while driving on Jennings Street in Endicott, NY.  An investigation found that he was driving while intoxicated and had a suspended driver license.  Brown was arraigned in the Town of Union Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail.

(Lansing, NY – November 24, 2014) On November 23, 2014, a Trooper from SP Ithaca arrested Joshua C. Van Nest, 29, of Lansing, NY for Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable BAC result of .08% and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  This arrest occurred after a vehicle and traffic law stop for driving with a broken rear plate lamp while on North Triphammer Road in Lansing, NY.  An investigation determined that he was driving while intoxicated and unlawfully possessed a small amount of marihuana.  Van Nest was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Lansing Court on December 2, 2014.

(Oneonta, NY – November 21, 2014) On November 21, 2014, Troopers from SP Oneonta arrested Andrew J. Bernard, 23, of Kings Park, NY for Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable BAC result of .11%.  This arrest occurred after a vehicle and traffic law stop for driving with an exhaust that was too loud while on State Route 23 in Oneonta, NY.  An investigation determined that he was driving while intoxicated.  Bernard was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Oneonta Court on November 25, 2014.

(Unadilla, NY – November 17, 2014) On November 16, 2014, State Police at SP Sidney arrested Benjamin J. Ryan, 29, of Oxford, NY for the felony of Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC result of 0.10% and the misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th.  The arrest resulted from a vehicle and traffic law stop for failing to stop at a stop sign on State Route 7 in Unadilla, NY.  An investigation determined that he was driving while intoxicated.  A check of Ryan’s criminal history showed that he had a prior conviction for DWI and a prior felony conviction.  Also, during an inventory of his vehicle, a Trooper found that he unlawfully possessed an unloaded bolt action rifle.  Ryan was arraigned at the Town of Unadilla Court and remanded to the Otsego County Jail without bail.

(Apalachin, NY – November 13, 2014) On November 12, 2014, SP Owego Troopers arrested Lisa M. Weaver, 48, of Endicott, NY, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, and Moving from Lane Unsafely. The arrests were the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation in which a vehicle struck a utility pole and two sign posts on State Route 434 at the intersection of Griffin Drive in Owego, NY. Immediately after striking the pole and posts, the operator fled with the damaged vehicle from the scene, but was located by the patrol a short distance from the scene. Ms. Weaver was arraigned in the Owego Town Court and released to reappear on a future date.

(Windsor, NY – November 13, 2014) On November 12, 2014, SP Binghamton Troopers arrested Billy J. Knickerbocker, 33, of Binghamton, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. The arrest resulted from a complaint occurring at the Express Mart, 16 North Road, West Windsor, NY. Mr. Knickerbocker was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Windsor Court on November 19, 2014.

 

 

 

 

Danielle A. Harris DWI in New York

(Middlefield, NY – November 13, 2014) On November 12, 2014, State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Danielle A. Harris, 34, of West Edmeston, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC result of .16%, along with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd and other vehicle and traffic law violations. The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle accident on County Highway 52 in Middlefield, NY. Ms. Harris was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the Town of Middlefield Court on November 24, 2014.

 

 

 

(Union, NY – November 10, 2014) On November 9, 2014, troopers from SP Endwell arrested Juan G. Rios, 52, of Johnson City, NY for Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC result of .23%. The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle accident in the Aldi’s parking lot at 619 Main Street in Union. Mr. Rios was issued tickets returnable to Town of Union Court on November 18, 2014.

On November 27, 2014, Bath State Police arrested Nicholas J. Crouch, 24, of Campbell, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .20%.  Crouch is scheduled to appear in the Town of Campbell Court on December 8, 2014.

On November 27, 2014, Horseheads State Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle off the roadway on West Hill Road.  Following an investigation, Trisha L. Wensel, 31, of Elmira was arrested for Felony Driving While Intoxication with a BAC of .11%.  She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Elmira Court on December 3, 2014.
On November 26, 2014, Horseheads State Police responded to a report of an erratic driver on I-86.  Following an investigation, Mark A. Stewart, 30, of Horseheads, was arrested for Felony Driving While Intoxicated (previous conviction in 10 years) and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .31%.  He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Big Flats Court on December 11, 2014.

On November 22, 2014, Horseheads State Police arrested Tyler W. Petrie, 22, of Corning, for Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .11% and speeding (72/55) on State Route 13.  He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Veteran Court on December 3, 2014.

On Saturday, November 15th, 2014 Bath State Police arrested Laura Hepburn.  Hepburn, 50 of Hammondsport was arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 54 in the Town of Bath.  Hepburn was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right.  Hepburn is to appear in Bath Town Court on a later date.

DWI Arrest City of Rochester

The State Police out of Rochester arrested Meghan Hesketh for DWI following a traffic stop on Interstate 490 in the city of Rochester.  During the course of the investigation, a passenger, Jacqueline Alexander failed to comply with troopers when told to stay in the vehicle.  Alexander exited the vehicle and interferred with the police investigation and was subsequently arrested for Disorderly Conduct.  Both, Hesketh and Alexander were released with tickets returnable to the city of Rochester court on 12/12/14.

Dundee State Police responded to a report of a possible sick or intoxicated driver in the Village of Dundee on November 13, 2013. Following an investigation, Harold J. Lathrop, 68, of Dundee, was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .14%.  He is scheduled to appear in the Village of Dundee court on December 17, 2014.

On Wednesday, November 12th, 2014 Horseheads State Police arrested John T. Ingraham.  Ingraham, 26 of Elmira was arrested following a traffic stop on County Route 64 in the Town of Horseheads.  Ingraham was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana.  Ingraham is to appear in Horseheads Town Court on a later date.

Friday November 28th, 2014 Wurtsboro Troopers arrested a Brant Lake woman for Driving While Intoxicated after she was involved in a motor vehicle accident.
Wurtsboro Troopers responded to a Sullivan County 911 call for a motor vehicle accident on Friday evening.  Upon arrival to the scene Troopers located a heavily damaged vehicle and its operator Bridgette Swing, of Lake Brant, near the vehicle.  After an investigation and interview of Swing, it was determined Swing was intoxicated and she was arrested.  Swing was transported to Catskill Regional Hospital as a precautionary measure and released to Troopers where she was transported to SP Wurtsboro and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.  Swing is due to appear in Town of Thompson court at a later date.

 

Mark Buckley DWI in Sullivan County New York 112814

Monday November 24th, 2014 Wurtsboro Troopers arrested a Wurtsboro man for Felony Driving While Intoxicated.

Wurtsboro Troopers responded to a Sullivan County 911 call for an erratic operator on ST-17 in the Town of Mamakating. Upon locating the vehicle Troopers stopped it and interviewed the operator Mark Buckley, of Wurtsboro.  Buckley was found to be intoxicated upon interview by Troopers and was found to have Marihuana in the vehicle.  Buckley was arrested and transported to SP Wurtsboro where he was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  Buckley was arraigned in Town of Mamakating Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail.
