The following incidents are reported from the New York State Police:
NO HEADLIGHTS LEAD TO DWI ARREST OF JASON C. COLEMAN
The New York State Police based out of the SP Clarence barracks arrested JASON C. COLEMAN (age 25) of Lackawanna, NY for DWI after stopping him for driving without headlights on Transit RD. in the Town of Elma, at approximately 3:15 AM Saturday morning. Mr. COLEMAN was transported to SP Clarence, where his reportable BAC was 0.15%. He also had marijuana in his car, and was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He is to return to the Town of Elma court on March 21, 2013.
Trooper’s pizza pickup leads to DWI of Cheryl Lamoreaux
Collins – On March 4th a Trooper stationed out of the Collins Barracks pulled into a local pizza shop’s parking lot to pick up an order when he noticed a car stopped in the middle of Collins Rd, near the intersection of St Rte 62, with its’ turn signal on. After picking up the order and talking to the owner, the Trooper returned to his vehicle, and noticed the car was still there. The Trooper approached the car to check on the driver, later identified as 54 year old Cheryl Lamoreaux of Waterview Parkway in Hamburg. The Trooper smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from within the vehicle and Mrs. Lamoreaux appeared lost, and was having difficulty answering simple questions. Mrs. Lamoreaux was determined to be intoxicated and taken back to the Collins barracks. She was given a breath test, with a reportable BAC of .20% and subsequently charged with Aggravated DWI. She’s due in the Collins Town Court at a later date. The Village of Gowanda Police Department assisted Troopers at the scene.
State Police Amity – Vehicle Off the Roadway Report Leads to DWI Arrest of Seth R. Dunn
On Friday March 1, 2013 NY State Police arrested SETH R DUNN, 22 of Friendship, NY for DWI following a report of a vehicle off the roadway on CR 31A, Friendship. DUNN was issued and appearance ticket ordering him to appear on March 26, 2013 to answer said charge, and released to a 3rd party.

State Police charge David T. Pallick with DWI
(Verona, NY – March 09, 2013) – Oneida based state police charged Steven S. Merritt, age 25, of Merry Street, Verona with DWI following a hit and run accident on Eastwood Drive in Verona Wednesday afternoon.
Police report that approximately 12:50 p.m. on March 6, Trooper Jacob Byron responded to a report of a car/ utility pole accident at the intersection of Eastwood Drive and Greenwood Street in the Town of Verona. Upon arrival, witnesses advised the trooper that a gold 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier had come around a curve at a high rate of speed on Eastwood Drive and slid out of control before striking and damaging a utility pole. The car then fled the scene and a witness followed the Cavalier until it entered the Thruway at the Verona Exit.
Trooper Byron notified the Thruway state police patrols and the vehicle was located a short time later parked in a commuter lot at the Canastota Thruway exit with heavy front end damage. After further investigation, it was learned that Steven Merritt was the operator of the vehicle. Merritt was located and admitted to being the operator of the Cavalier. While interviewing Merritt, Trooper Byron observed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and, following field sobriety tests, arrested Merritt for DWI.
Merritt was processed at the SP Oneida barracks, where a breath test determined his blood alcohol content to be .13%. Merritt was ticketed for DWI, Driving with a BAC of .08% or greater, Unsafe Speed, No Seat Belt, Failure to Keep Right, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and a Cell Phone violation. Merritt is scheduled to appear in the Town of Verona Court on March 19, 2013.
On March 3, 2013 at 12:38AM Morrisville State Police arrested Amy L. Miller, age 47, Fayetteville, NY for DWI. Miller was travelling eastbound on RT 20 in a 2003 Buick 4DS when she was stopped for driving her vehicle above the posted 55mph speed limit. She was processed at SP Morrisville where a positive breath test of .12% BAC was obtained. She was released on tickets to appear in the Town of Nelson Court on 03/19/13.

On March 3rd, Horseheads State Police arrested Edward J. Misnick, 40, of Pine City for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% following a traffic stop on Cedar Street. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Southport Court on March 21, 2013.
Denise M. Taggart Arrested for Felony DWI after Driving to Bath Barracks
On March 4th, Bath State Police arrested Denise M. Taggart, 26, of Bath for Felony Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .09% after she drove to the Bath barracks to pick up her boyfriend. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Bath Court on March 13, 2013.
Michael A. Cavallaro Arrested for Driving While Intoxicated
On March 3rd, Bath State Police arrested Michael A. Cavallaro, 25, of Corning for Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .17% following a traffic stop on West Washington Street. He is scheduled to appear in the Bath Village Court on March 13, 2013.
Brad R. Clark Arrested for Driving While Intoxicated
On March 1st, Painted Post State Police arrested Brad R. Clark, 33, of Corning for Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .17% following a traffic stop on State Route 352. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Corning Court on March 11, 2013.
Xavier R. Mustico Arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and UPM
On March 2nd, Horseheads State Police arrested Xavier R. Mustico, 19, of Elmira for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana following a traffic stop on State Route 352. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Big Flats Court on March 21, 2013.

Nancy J. Morris busted for DWI with kid in car
Troopers arrested Nancy J. Morris, 55 years old of Rochester, for Aggravated DWI – Child In Vehicle after she sideswiped a guiderail on the Inner Loop Eastbound near Water Street in the City of Rochester around 2:30 PM on March 3, 2013. Morris left the scene of the accident. Troopers located her a short time later at her residence in Rochester. Further investigation revealed that Morris was intoxicated, and that she had a six-year-old passenger in the backseat of her vehicle at the time of the accident. Morris was processed at SP Rochester, where she submitted to a breath test and was found to have a BAC of 0.21%. Morris was cited for Aggravated DWI – Child in Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Auto Accident, and numerous other violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. She was remanded to the Monroe County Jail pending arraignment on March 11, 2013.
