Steven Coffey, age 64, from Greece, NY is wanted on a city of Rochester Bench Warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Driving While Intoxicated and numerous traffic violations. Coffey was stopped for no seatbelt on Rialto Street in Rochester and arrested for the above charges.

Adrian M. Atutis is wanted on a bench warrant from the Chenango County Court for failure to comply with the conditions of his release. Atutis was arrested in February after trooper received a complaint of an erratic driver on State Highway 12 in Greene. Troopers located Atutis and an investigation revealed he was intoxicated.

On December 25, 2008, Lightfoot was traveling on the New York State Thruway when he was stopped by State Police. During the course of the Trooper’s investigation, it was determined that Lightfoot was intoxicated.

Wrong-Way Hailey Hill was aiming for troopers

On Thursday, December 5, 2019, at approximately 2:26 a.m., Troopers assigned to SP Syracuse were conducting a vehicle and traffic stop along the eastbound shoulder of the New York State Thruway in the Town of Brutus, Cayuga County when an approaching vehicle failed to move over and came in close contact with the Troopers. 

The Troopers proceeded after the vehicle then they noticed the driver had turned around and was now dangerously headed the wrong way towards them and other oncoming traffic. 

The vehicle subsequently pulled over without further incident, and the operator, Hailey E. Hill, 44, of Canandaigua, NY was found to be intoxicated and in possession of an open alcohol container.  She was charged with Felony DWI due to previous alcohol-related driving convictions.  Hill failed to provide a breath sample and was additionally charged with DWI Refusal.  She was arraigned in the Town of Brutus Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $2000 bail or $4000 bond.

Troopers investigate wrong-way driver Khang Le’s crash on I-590

New York State Police report that on Nov. 28, 2019, at approximately 1:38 a.m., the State Police investigated a 2 car head-on crash on I- 590 in the northbound lane in the town of Irondequoit.
Troopers were 911 dispatched to a wrong-way driver traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-590.
The operator of the wrong-way vehicle, Khang Le, was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and processed at the State Police station where his B.A.C. was a .21.

The operator and passenger of the other vehicle were transported to Strong Hospital and Rochester General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

Seneca Falls woman arrested for driving while intoxicated.

On November 23, 2019, Troopers out of SP Waterloo arrested Sarah M. Dickenson, 29, of Seneca Falls, New York for driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC greater than .08% and other traffic violations.

While on patrol, Troopers responded to State Route 96A in the Town of Fayette.  Dickenson was placed under arrest after failing standard field sobriety tests.  She was transported to SP Waterloo where she provided a breath sample of .16% BAC.  Dickenson was issued uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Fayette Court on December 4, 2019.

Repeat offender Patrick C. Shearer arrested for felony DWI after Wal-Mart accident

On November 30, 2019, SP Olean Troopers arrested Patrick C. Shearer, 48, of Hinsdale, NY for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – Previous Conviction Within Ten Years and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – BAC Over 0.18%.

During their investigation of a two-car accident in the parking lot of Wal-Mart in the town of Allegany, Shearer, one of the drivers, was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Shearer was then arrested and transported to SP Olean, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.20% BAC.

Shearer was released with appearance tickets for Allegany Town Court, where he is due to appear later this month.

Craig L. Nichols charged with DWI, three times the legal limit

On December 4, 2019, State Police in Sand Lake arrested 35-year-old Craig L. Nichols of Grafton, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated- Previous Conviction (E felony), and Use of a Vehicle Without Interlock Device (A misdemeanor).

At approximately 8:31 p.m. Wednesday night, State Police responded to a one-car property damage accident at the intersection of Alps Mountain Rd. and Hoffman Rd. in the Town of Sand Lake. When the Trooper arrived, he found that the vehicle had slid through the intersection and struck a snowbank on the other side.

Upon speaking with the driver, Craig Nichols, the Trooper observed signs of intoxication. Nichols was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which he failed, and was taken into custody.
 Nichols was transported back to SP Sand Lake where he provided a breath sample of .24% B.A.C. He was arraigned in North Greenbush Town Court and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail on $2,00 cash or bond. He is due back in court on a later date.

Felony DWI arrest of Jesse J. Johnson in Gouverneur

On November 7, 2019, at approximately 4:10 a.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 11, in the village of Gouverneur for inadequate exhaust.  The operator of the vehicle, 37-year-old Jesse J. Johnson, of Carthage was subsequently arrested for DWI.  His blood-alcohol content was determined to be 0.19%.  Johnson was charged with Felony Aggravated DWI, due to having two previous convictions of DWI within the preceding ten years.  He was further charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree (felony).  Johnson was arraigned in the Town of Gouverneur Court where he was remanded to St. Lawrence County jail without bail.

Mary K. Vaisey charged with DWI after rear-end crash at stoplight

On December 5, 2019, at approximately 5:20 p.m., State Police responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Park Street and State Highway 37 in the town of Oswegatchie.  An investigation revealed that a 2013 Kia operated by 45-year-old Mary K. Vaisey, of Norfolk, struck the rear of a 2014 Nissan Rogue, operated by 49-year-old Lee Ann Morley of Ogdensburg, who was stopped at the traffic light on State Highway 37. 
 
Morley and her passenger, 16-year-old Mason M. Morley, were not injured. Vaisey was transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center where she refused further medical attention. Vaisey was arrested for DWI. Her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21%. Vaisey was charged with Aggravated DWI. She was released with tickets returnable to the Town of Oswegatchie Court.

Armando Carcamo-Rivera, 41 of Hempstead charged with DWI-drugs

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at approximately 9:38 pm the State Police responded to a call of an ongoing incident on the Meadowbrook State Parkway.  A Toyota Tundra was observed purposefully ramming an Audi on the Meadowbrook State Parkway, southbound near M8, in the town of Hempstead, Nassau County. 

Responding State Police Troopers, assisted by the New York State Parks Police attempted to intervene and stop the Toyota Tundra, which had become hooked to the bumper of the Audi. 

The driver of the Tundra refused to stop and after separating his bumper from the Audi and fled a short distance, but quickly returned to the Audi, struck it again, and pushed it, with State Police and Parks Police still pursuing him.  During the pursuit, the Tundra stopped and backed into a Parks Police vehicle and fled again. 

Police Officers followed the Tundra into Suffolk County to Howells Road in Bayshore, where it became disabled and they took the driver, Armondo Carcamo-Rivera, 41 of Hempstead, into custody.  
 
Carcamo-Rivera was arrested and charged with:

Carcamo-Rivera was due to be arraigned at Nassau County First District Court on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 9:00 AM.
