A New York woman has given a sob-filled apology for driving drunk and high on drugs when she killed a 15-year-old Hampton Bays boy.
Caroline Goss broke down in tears in a Riverhead courtroom Thursday. She is settling a civil lawsuit in the August 2009 crash that killed Joseph Marino.
Newsday reports the woman’s sobbing also brought the victim’s grieving mother to tears.

Goss, a nurse, was drunk and driving with her six -year-old child in her vehicle when she ran over Joseph Marino and killed him…she had a drink in her front seat and vanila vodka in a bottle nearby when she snuffed out the life of the boy.
